2006 vogue diesel 3 ltr 76000 k miles
Trans fail safe program popped its head up on the dash?
Then disappeared.

Who in South Yorkshire can take a look at my gearbox for me?

I had that with a dodgy ABS ECU....

Could be the speed sensors inside the box, if they sense a mismatch between themselves it throws the failsafe warning but if the shaft speeds then resync, it disappears...did you notice any shift irregularities like flaring or hesitation prior to the warning??

These L322's are murder for gearbox. I've seen the box fail on these at 40k.
It always starts with the fail safe program coming up.

If you're going to buy a L322, make sure the gearbox has been rebuilt or replaced. I buy a few of these vehicles for customers & I won't even turn up to look at one if gearbox hasn't been done.
