Fitted a tow bar to the P38, now need to install the wiring. Somone told me the trailor wiring is already installed, and there should be a loose plug somwhere under the back to plug the towing plug loom into, but i cant find anything. If theres not, who do i go about wiring the plug into the car?

Cheers, Rich.

The wires/plug are inside the car, inside the access panels where you would access the tail light wires, As you look into the back of the car, the standard trailer wiring is on the right hand side /drivers side, and the auxilary wiring is on the left.

Thanks, esactly the info i needed, ill have a look for it when im changing the indicator bulb it failed its MOT on for being not yellow enough. Unfortunatly its just failed its MOT on more than just that, but hey, while im working on it....

I wired a P38 towbar last year just plugging it straight in, a lot easier and more effective than scotchloks. If you can't see them they can be tucked well up into the loom and fitted with a blanking plug but they will be there.

Yep i found what i think is it in the right side near the tail lights. Attached to a blanking plug which was secured to the body in there. :) Now will search what the colours are, it must be on here somwhere. Ive got a standard socket with no connection on, will do some very special wiring to hook it up. ;) Wheres my super glue?

yes there is a rubber grommet right in bottom corner, you will have to get at it from underneath though and push the wires up though....
