There was an issue with the nut behind the wheel

:D

trees happened ...

the bodywork needed removing anyway to trayback, i just helped it along

but really. 1 guy broke the freespool on his winch , 1 broke an engine and clutch, another broke another clutch, 1 guy's front axle ripped off, breaking both his air shox and prop before completing 1 punch... allen sharp rippee dthe a frame mounts from the chassis so at the end of the day abit of bodywork is nothing

she was driven hard and lovedit, every day out is a test before the king of the valleys to get her bombproof.

Just need to find that balance of drive smart and drive hard, then it should bring you some really good results!
Any design for the trayback you gong to copy or go original?

Mainly taken inspiration from the whitbread frame but basically original :)

Had a great day yesterday, went to watch a round of the Viking 4x4 Odyssey Challenge series at Lea Bridge. James was competing and Top Cat came along so we could get a few ideas of what we're gonna build as a joint project for next year ... maybe .. ;)

Got some great ideas and watched some stunning driving .. All the videos are of James, one is a video of him snapping a winch rope, trying to get the clip which is anchored to the ground!! Very nicely driven mate wink emoticon

One of the videos is to show what might be the worst clip placement I've seen .. literally about a 15' vertical, from which you must be suspended with the winch to clip your card .. Awesome isn't a good enough word! The camera, a cheap digital simply doesn't show the true vertical .. and sorry about the crap zoom on the rest of the videos .. ;)

Hope they come out OK .. smile emoticon

Anyone here know if replacing a standard 9.5 goodwinch tds motor to a bow motor is straight fit? Can't find a straight answer,
Cheers ;)

IRRC the mounting should be ok, worse case, make some new holes to mount it on the winch housing. but some of the bow motors are physically larger.
