The Efi system requires the speed transducer in the speedo cable remember, make sure you fish that out cos you'll need it for proper running.

Annoyingly you might have to change the speedo gear in the transfer case cos the transducer type drive (black) is a smaller square drive than the other coloured drives :(

Ask me how I know :D

For instance I need to get a speedo cable from a 200tdi disco so that I can change my speedo gear to a blue one to correct my speedo!

I ignored y'all

Just want it done and it's going to take forever to modify everything to fit so sticking the auto in for now and seeing how it goes

Abuse commence ;)

Auto will be excellent for your challenge stuff i think, most competition guys use auto

as you know i have pondered it before and if i had the time/willingness i would love to swap to auto to see if i liked it

have spoken to a few guys who challenge and they have all said you never look back after going auto

as a non roll caged green laner who enjoys a nice awkwardly tight green lane every now and then i do appreciate the slowness and control of a manual however, doesnt matter so much in a challenge truck because of the cage you can afford to be a bit less delicate, and it has to be said auto drives better and is much easier controlled

defo speak to griffman about torque converter upgrades

Exactly it's perfect for the challenge stuff and higher speed

Not so good for trailing but it gives me more time to evaluate the course rather than changing gear plus I can lock it in gear if needed. Slightly less control for engine braking but if I get a earlier lock up torque converter this will help

I just want to get it going. If I #### about modifying everything I'm gonna be building all year. This way I've just gotta lengthen a prop shaft and then sort out engine stuff. Everything fits on original mounts :D

If I don't like it I can change back anyway so no big deal really ;)

Hahaha I took it out last night so nerr ;)

I'm sure in future you can mod the auto box or fit a d2 box with compushift and then it would be awesome.

Torque converter, as discussed recently, is the big party pooper, fit an upgrade and it'll be a different beast :)

Compushift is the way forward ! I've messages griff about the torque converter that's something I want to sort ASAP

Wayhey UNIT!!

Should be good (I think) with that viscous case, can't you throw an LT230 on there??

Bit simpler then for props, future mods, spares etc etc and you can't beat good old fashioned diff lock :)
