Hi guys

don't know if anybody has been looking on my thread in the anything goes section ( my new garage ) but soon i will be buying a car transporter trailer to tow with my disco 2 td5 auto, i know the disco 2 is well capable of towing a 3.5kg trailer but want to know will a 2.7 kg or a 3.0kg trailer carry a disco 1 or do i need to buy a 3.5 kg trailer.

You need to check what you are legally entitled to drive/tow..and the gross max weight of the trailer.

You need to know the weight of the disco + weight of trailer. The trailer will have a max gross weight. If A + B > C then you need a trailer with larger gross weight.

Where are you getting trailer from..i'm looking myself.

tbh just been looking on ebay ( just looking ) i don't really know any trailer places expect batesons trailers and they are new and expensive.

Google is your friend. Brian James, Richardson, Ifor Williams et al. Ifor Williams have a search facility for second hand trailers.

2 kg = weight of a bag of sugar. Did you mean tonnes?
