Hello everyone, As I'm new I'd like to introduce myself by giving a bit of history on who I am and what I've done.
I've bounced about the motor trade for about 35 of my 40+ working years, mainly bodging, lots of welding and spraying for both myself and garages I've worked in. Most of my experience is from way back before the days of "ECU's", "DMF"s,etc yes things were a lot simpler in my day. Spent 14 years working in research and development for an American company who manufactured various systems for the OE market, mainly Ford, Toyota, Rover. Finished all that in 2004 when redundancy reared it's head and have spent the last 10 years running a little cafe in Blackpool. Got to say they've been my most enjoyable years and although pension age plus I've carried on as I enjoy it so much.
Bought my Rangerover P38 as a second car 4 years ago along with a caravan in order to enjoy retirement although the job is so enjoyable and it brings the money in also, so we've not really taken advantage of the caravan.
Rangerover has been brill, 2.5 diesel auto and spent very little on it up to now. Have a bit of a problem which I've posted, probably in the wrong place but hopefully someone will see it and may be able to help.
By the way tractordriver is a nickname given to me by a pal some years ago when I bought a cruiser type motorbike, Yamaha Royal Star, He called it a tractor as he's a sports biker and the name has stuck ever since
Best regards
Jon

Hello and welcome Jon which part of Blackpool is your café north or south?
I have dined many times in the sea food restaurant on Bond street.:):welcome2::tea:

Hi Lisbeth,
Cafe at north shore. If you know Blackpool you would find us on the lower promenade at Gynn Square.
We're on Facebook. Hole in the wall cafe. Once close by you can't miss us, black Rangerover should be the only car parked up outside. Maybe see you one day.

Thanks for the info on your café, yes I know the area well, maybe I will call in on you in the summer!:):tea:
