HI, everybody, i hope someone can help..i collected my 2000plate discovery2 after getting its MOT this afternoon and whilst driving the traction control is coming on randomly, affecting both the brakes and light on dash., it feels like somebody else is pressing the brake pedal randomly while i am driving..
it gave me a fright i can tell you,,,it never did this before.
it is now dangerous to drive, HELP.....

NOTHING SINISTER WHILE I WAS WATCHING !!!
THE ONLY TIME IT WAS OUT OF MY VISION WAS WHEN THEY TOOK IT ON ROAD TO TEST THE BRAKES

It sounds like an abs sensor getting a wrong reading and thinking one wheel is spinning at a different speed to the others so applying the brake to that wheel.

you'd have to have live data read to see the abs sensor readings, any significant difference in a sensor will be the faulty one.

Could he have displaced something around one of the wheel speed sensors while poking around underneath?

Apoligise for capitals, new laptop...no he checked everything but he certainly did not interfere with anything.as for tyre pressure,it was fine me driving to garage so i dont think so on that one..as i said the only time it was out of my vision was when they did the road brake test..i need a quick fix as i need the vehicle

Probably just a coincidence it happening after the mot. I had my freelander moted recently and driving home the traction control and hill decent warning light came on.
