I did not use p38 for some 3/4 days, went to start up yesterday Flat Battery so recharged then turned on ignition ,engine turned over but would not start, Traction Control Failure on screen. What cure is needed to get going or is to be transported away to R/R specialist. Just when i was telling everyone what a lovely car it is. Help Please.

Do you have any other messages on the display? I wouldn't worry about the traction control one, you can get various weird but useless messages if you let the battery run down.

It sounds more like you've lost sync somewhere. Depending on what happens next you might need to re-sync the key or you might need BECM to engine re-syncing and that will need the appropriate software; a BlackBox synchmate or one of the more powerful systems.

For the moment try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes then start again (sorry, pun not intended)

Sounds to me like your battery is stuffed, low voltage causes all sorts of problems.

Dead battery. Even new batteries can be dead. Try jumpstart and let it run

Or even a duff alternator.
