I intend fitting an aftermarket tracking device and I'm looking for feedback on your experiences.

Key factors:
- Accuracy and effectiveness
- Ease of installation
- Cost

Thanks chaps ;)

Whilst I am sure not as good as Ryders, have been using this for a year now

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tracker-Veh...e=UTF8&qid=1417180006&sr=8-2&keywords=tracker

Dead easy to install (2 wires). Metal casing. Cheap to run

Location accuracy within about 10 ft

The number of times I've forgotten to turn it off, it certainly activates and sends messages!

You can download a free phone app to control it or just send text messages to it

Has loads of other configurable features but ive not bothered with those

For anyone that saw the prog on telly about car theft in uk it seems the toe rags can read the gps signals of such gadgets these days so don't rely on it 100 percent to protect ur pride n joy
:-(

When/what channel was that on?

"read the gps signals"? The only thing to give off GPS signals are the satellites in space....

It was on a few months back
Ok if it's not gps it's some kind of signal like a mobile phone uses
They have some kinda gadget that then skim around the car, it beeps and they remove it
Not nice and very not f***king funny
