Hi all ,
Newbie to forum here .
I’m not usually the forum type of guy but I’m stuck with this problem and I need help.
I have swapped my wheels for those off A range Rover sport and fitted new TPMS sensors as the old ones were due to be replaced.
Now I have a TPMS fault light constantly lit, I have gone through the new TPMS learn process but the system will not recognise the new sensors.
I have cleared the fault with my Land Rover diagnostic tool and checked The TPMS sensors With a reader and they are working but not talking to the car.
What else can I do without having to take the car to the dealership and get ripped off.
Hope somebody out there can help regards mark.

Hi, did you drive it since? ..and what was the exact fault code description, also did you follow EXACTLY everything as in the owner's handbook ?

Hello ,
I drove it as per the recommendation to learn the new sensors , at over 20kmh for 20 mins , after 10 mins the tpms begins to flash .
Diagnostic reader lists wheel module fault , I clear it but after a restart it’s back a short while after . Will post exact images later when I’m home

I will print this off and read it in depth tonight , just scanning through it , it seems to put me on the right path To getting to the bottom of the problem .
I think it’s going to require diagnostic equipment that’s more capable than the Icarsoft LR V2 I just purchased .
I’m moaning about dealers high costs but I have spent out £250 on diagnostic reader and TPMS tool and to no avail . Maybe I should have just took it to the dealers first off but me being me I hate not being able to do anything to fix the Landy ....

Sierrafery I had I look at the document you sent and I think this is possibly the key part ?

( Use the Tire Pressure Sensor Replacement routine available in SDD/Pathfinder to write the new wheel unit ID

(s) to the tire pressure monitoring system control module. Then, test drive the vehicle for at least 15 minutes

duration with speed >20MPH and retest for TPMS DTCs )

If this is what's required I gather this is a dealership job ? which is not what thought which is they self learn so to speak ?

what are your thoughts on it ?
 
I am surmising it will be a dealer level diagnostic tool , perhaps someone else will clarify this ?

Here is the code C1D21 but in the DTC lookup there is nothing for it on the icarsoft LR V2 ?
Anybody else know the issue ?
 
I’ve already said in your other thread that Land Rover changed the Tpms in later discovery 4 so the chances are yours aren’t compatible with the car.

When I purchased these off eBay I was told they are in sleep mode and just require activation with a tpms trigger , seems I have been mislead to the tune of another £60 , would have been cheaper to have had the car swapped not the alloys at this rate lol .
 
They are the same but were they new?... 4 at £60 doesnt seem so and as long as they are used you can't rely on them
