Not saying you are wrong...just ain't going to happen in these days of JIT.hgv's should not be on the road in conditions like that
Nothing nuts about it, soon as that lorry stops it's a blocked road, ****ing hgv's should not be on the road in conditions like that, took me five hours to get home from Norwich to essex one night, because at the bottom of every incline sat an hgv with no grip, gritters were stuck in tailbacks too. Sorry, rant over!!!
@freelance I'm a hgv driver and we are expected to go out in all weathers regardless of weather warnings and would be disciplined if we refused. Our trucks are out 24/7 and the only day we're closed is Christmas day. We are even expected to go out when the office staff can't get in due to the snow. Everything you have, wear and eat has been on the back of several wagons before it makes it to your table.... I'm currently sat in sainsbury's at Haydock delivering 25 pallets of carling. At least you got home.
+1 funny how people complain all snug as a bug at home sleeping, as some driver has been on the road hauling fuel, food, clothes so they can go to work or feed there kidsOh dear, you poor thing!
You must have been so unbelievably distraught when you posted this....I bet you'd be one of the first to moan if the supermarket shelves were empty too.
I drive the truck that delivers black stuff at night, the stuff we all drive on, the abuse is unreal just because it down to one lane for a few mile, not to worry, ill just keep dodgin the cans, bottles and other 50mph missiles
That is unbelievable! I know the world has a lot of ignorant people in it, but those people should be kept in cages.I drive the truck that delivers black stuff at night, the stuff we all drive on, the abuse is unreal just because it down to one lane for a few mile, not to worry, ill just keep dodgin the cans, bottles and other 50mph missiles
To be fair that's down to the tyre fitter not the traffic officers, we use ats and they even have diagrams in their vans showing them where they have to place the cones and can be disciplined for not doing so. Would you want to change a wheel stood a few inches from the inside lane cos I know that there's no way I would regardless of how much I'm being paidThose f*****g 'Traffic Officer' wobbles are the ones that REALLY get my goat....let's put the motorway down to one lane because there's a puncture on the hard shoulder...

Cannot abide them....those and Old Bill on bikes. They are utter b******s, they really are. And I'm a biker who rides all year round....
talk about nuts , lol
Never empty bottles though is it. Somehow they are always bottles fIlled with "apple juice" to flat "tizer" depending on how hydrated the driver is. Bastids. Do no a tm guy that got a magnum sized champagne bottle in the back of his head.I drive the truck that delivers black stuff at night, the stuff we all drive on, the abuse is unreal just because it down to one lane for a few mile, not to worry, ill just keep dodgin the cans, bottles and other 50mph missiles
