Didn't you get an Owners Manual with the car. I have a P38 (not a Sport). On mine I must press the Inhibit switch on the air suspension to maintain Standard Height when towing.
I presently have a customer car in (P38) which was towing a car trailer with the owners new BMW Estate on it in the UK. He had never towed before and balanced the BMW on the trailer with no forward weight on the jockey wheel (oops) and didn't know about the sir suspension lowering to motorway mode (4 inches lower) after exceeding 50 mph. Result they got to 50 the suspension lowered and he immediately lost control of the whole rig. Went over the armco into a ditch, they got out OK but everything was a right-off. I have the wreck of the p38 which handled the accident well structually (nice to know). We have salvaged the engine (only 30k) and g.box, trans etc. So read that Owners Manual. It should mention what to do when towing. And if not sure take along someone who is experienced. If you have a motorcycle then a good tip is to definately visit the Isle of Man. For the TT or MGP or anytime as its motorcycling heaven. And no speed limits on out of town roads. Good 4x4 club here too.

Cool thanks! I'm familiar with towing i'm just trying to figure out what all I need to set it up as far as what hitch and wiring harness, i'm staying away from dealership $$ because I can do it myself i'm just not sure what exactly I need to order.

Probably camp Lagune North Carolina big Marnie base amphibious warfare I think.:D

Mine and your term of "Yank" must have different meanings tough guy, what state are you from? Actually it's spelled LeJeune named after the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps if you are interested in history and what keeps you alive and yes we have everything on this base.

Lets save the name calling and immaturity to ourselves. All I asked is a simple question if you don't know the answer then keep your comments to yourselves and to answer some of your questions "NC" is an abbreviation for North Carolina and yes I am currently stationed on Camp LeJeune for the rest I would much rather play immature and entertain the name calling in person rather than acting like a tough guy on the internet.

if you have enough money to buy and brand new sport surely you can take it to the dealers and say "fit me a towbar" ... no ?? why bother doing it yourself ? to save the pennies ? lmao !

Forgot to mention.......they eat marines in the west country:hysterically_laughi
