Hi folks,

I'm going to pick up a dead hippo in Argyll (v6 with blown head gaskets), and plan to tow it back home (180 miles) using a towbar rig onto the free lander chassis. Will I be ok to stick the car in neutral and head home, and not destroy the gearbox etc. on the way back?

Cheers
Ken

No, you probably will need to use the gearbox unless its downhill all the way.

should be on the back of a low loader for that long of a journey really

have fun explaning it to the fed if you get pulled !

and why bother awaking a dead V6 - let it rest in peace ! lmao !

you'll have to remove the propshaft............but i think the only legal transportation is via trailer......

hmmmm - yes you may all be right. will sort out a trailer and do it that way. Thanks for the advice!
cheers
