"Is there not anyway of redirecting the power for the relay away from the uax on the ignition and rerouting it in the conventional way"

1) You could change the LR loom and connect onto the back of the alternator as in the old days, I looked at doing this but due to size of hands can't get to the back of the alternator without removing it.

2) You could llose all the relays and fit a smart device to switch over:-

Personnaly I just live with the LR setup.

Its all very well "shouting" do a search at everybody, if you do a search for "Rave" or "Rave cd" you get over 400 results!
If this site has a fault (!?) that is one of the worst, a search is often so vague as to be useless, that is the point of asking questions of those who can give the answer.

How bout if we shouts look in the common questions section yur stupid monkey......is that better

have yu looked in "Common Faults and Questions" section or the "Welcome to all New Members " post - nope - well if yu cant be bothered to read the things that are put to help yu - why shud we bother?

That is the correct fitment. you can't beat connector blocks. not like those nasty blue things. all screwed down nice and tight and taped up. Nice and dry in the O/S C pillar. with the socket mounted in the back door out of the way of all that nasty mud & road crap

Those things are awful, you want to solder them all and tape them up, or even better slide some heat shrink over them. No matter how much tape you have over them the wires will oxidise and give you trouble.
