Hi got a drop plate and ball fitted but now informed I need a angle iron section that is bolted under the rear cross member and then attached to the drop plate , unable to find on eBay and never had on previous landys , also what is the bolts I need
Many thanks in advance

Mine has that but its welded on, its 2 lenghts of 1" angle from the bottom of the fixed drop plate to the chassis rails

Here is a picture of mine (not series but essentially the same)

Oh contrare Bobsticle. As posted that’s the correct fitting for an adjustable drop plate. The angle iron is bolted underneath the cross member. I knows cos I paint it every year.

90/110's have the rear stays and point on the chassis to mount them. The drop plate is generally smaller and often bolts to the underside of the cross member rather than the back face of it.

On a Series the drop plate bolts top and bottom on the rear face of the cross member. The drop plate has no mounting points for rear stays and nor does the chassis. If they have been fitted they will have been done aftermarket and technically are not a genuine fitment.

My richards new series 3 chassis[2010] has square strengthened sections with threaded holes in on base to mount that piece if required.
As seen in pic below

i have just fitted a hitch to my 3 lightweight . 12mm holes on chassis 4no.i made a box section bottom support welded to cross member & used 16mm bolts 2no.then unistrut heavy gauge .rather than drill through the chassis i made 2no plates with the 12 mm bolts welded on then welded the plates on .use tensile bolts .no one seems to make kits anymore !
