hi all

Just bought a second hand tow bar for 70 euro ,so around £50

looks spot on and detachable , thing is how easy are they to fit???

ive fitted a few towbars before some been very easy some a pain in ass

also electric? is there a plug in boot ready to take electrics? or is it a case of having to fit a relay and splicing into the wires?

cheers

Fitted mine a couple of weeks back.

Really easy obviously get the rear of the car high.

No bumper cutting to do (on mine anyway 2001) just make sure the thread on the towing eye side is clean, the nearside should have a tape/cover over it to protect the thread

hold it up and bolt the x2 main ones on first. then work from there getting the others in.

WIRING.

There is a white multiplug in the boot behind the right hand side plastic cover, if you don't have the correct connector just do what i did and splice into them. Witter gave me a buzzer but i cant be doing with that going off so didnt use it.

If you get stuck post up and i can go and search for the right color wires.

Just noticed yours isnt UK spec so may be different for wiring.

really easy to fit, did yours come with the white plastic connector on end of tow bar wires?
if so, remove rear right hand plastic panel, behind is the connector to plug into, and a pre drilled hole with rubber grommet to pass wire through, took me about an hour to fit mine few weeks back

it is easy to fit, there is a plug behind left side (I think) boot cover panel.
you can check the complete fitting instructions on TOPIX

thanks for all the replies
