Fitting Audible Warning Relays

All vehicles with a towbar fitted must by Law have either a visual or audible repeater fitted in sequence with the vehicles
indicators.
The easiest of the 2 to fit is the Audible type which can be fitted at the rear of your vehicle. Only when
towing you will hear a BLEEP in time with your vehicle indicator.
This shows that your indicators are in fact working. Audible Relay wiring :-
Yellow of relay 2 yellow of black 7-core cable
Green of relay 2 green of black 7 core cable
Orange of relay 2 Left indicator wire on vehicle
Grey of relay 2 Right indicator wire on vehicle
Black (can sometimes be White) of relay 2 earth wire on vehicleVISUAL WARNING RELAYS
This relay requires the running of cable through the vehicle to feed the dashboard warning light. (Very rarely used these
days).BULB FAILURE RELAYS
Many new vehicles, and some older ones, have bulb failure devices fitted to the lighting circuits. It is very IMPORTANT
that if fitted, the device must be by-passed.
If you are not sure if your vehicle has a bulb failure system remove a bulb from the rear light cluster and see if there is
any warning on the dashboard to tell you that there is a bulb failure. Repeat the procedure for ALL rear lights, some
vehicles have only brake lights covered, others may have all circuits covered.
Bulb failure relays can be purchased to cover 1, 2, and 6 circuits.Due to various types available it is not possible to cover
the wiring codes here.
However all relays of this type should come with written instructions.

Can't help with which towbar to fit or wether it'll interfere with the reversing sensors. But there are 2 electrical connectors on the loom. one for 12N and the other for 12S (caravan) connections. Unless you buy a LR towing socket it won't have the plug on the end of the cable. So you'll need to buy one and fit it to the cable anyway. so back to the blue scotch clips. or as I did cut the socket and fit a strip of terminal connectors.

do i hear you correctly, that the 12S connection is allready loomed up ready to go in the back of me hippo?

i've been thinking of installing the second electrics but havent found the time to fart arse arouns for a few hours with a split relay charging system.

so is it just plug and play, or is there parts and more parts i need.

Hi been away can't confirm it fer an hippo but it certainly is for Disco's in the disco it located in the O/S rear quarter behind the rear light panel.
