Hi all,

Just thought i'd share my ongoing work on my td4.. Just finished fitting the tow bar & what a pig of a job getting off those 3 rusted in bolts from the towing eye.. Before that i replaced the tailgate window regulator so i now have a working boot door & window wiper/rear demister too.:) I also replaced the front passenger side regulator as this never worked when i bought it.. The 2 regulators where ebay buys. tailgate second hand & the front was new from "Britpart", the local stealer wanted £146+Vat but these guys sell a new oem landrover one for less than ½ that price :D..

Now all my electric windows work as they should too, egr bypass penciled in for next week too..;)

took another pic once i'd cleaned up the tow bar a little..:)

Does anyone know of a good bumper cleaner ??.. I've tried very hot soapy water but im still struggling to remove years on ingrained dirt on this back bumper..

thanks..

Don't blame me if it all goes wrong, try it on a small bit under the car first. I have used that Doktor Power stuff on my caravan paint work and it takes all the crap off it a treat, stuff thats been on the roof for years came off without any problems and it didn't do any damage to the rubber or the paint.

Meguires trim restorer from Halfords is good stuff...or any trim cleaner with linseed oil additive :)

thanks,

every few weeks i use auto glym bumper care & it brings it up great but i'd much rather get the bumper back to the clean plastic then treat it with it first.. Daft i know, but i don't go "off road" & although it's only a 51 plate td4 a cars only as good as the care you give it i feel.. Daft spending a fortune keeping the engine going well when the bodywork looks crap..
