Hi all, I'm new to the fender world, I have just changed the Tyres and wheels on my 89' 90, from standard alloys to my old 300tdi alloys with new mud Tyres on, can anyone please tell me the correct torque on the wheel nuts please, they are the alloy capped ones?
Thanks
Oli

tighten mine til they squeal, which is just enough to put a bit of flex in a breaker bar.........any more and you'll never get the buggers off at the side of the road

Thats not even half cwt on the end of a 2' bar...............don't sound alot

Defender Alloys are 130Nm - 96lbf/ft
Defender Steels are 100Nm - 80lbf/ft
Defender Hvy Duty are 170Nm - 125lbf/ft
Disco1 is 130Nm - 96lbf/ft
Disco2 is 140Nm - 103lbf/ft

Hi thanks for the replies, I went with 95/96 ftlb, I have noticed a bit of wheel wobble now though, when jacked up and the wheel spun, in one spot it deviates outwards by 10-20 mm and when at speed it wobbles how can this be rectified?? Cheers
