Swapped this out yesterday.

For anyone ordering the silicon version from the horsey sounding guys in Matlock, it is worth mentioning it doesn’t come with a spring clip (the original is too small) for the most awkward connection at the bottom.

I used a jubilee clip instead, but it is awkward and fiddly if you don’t remove anything (fan, rad etc).

Good to know.
One day I’ll get around to buy the silicon me hoses for the swap.

I bought every single coolant hose in silicone from ebay, about 120 quid. Im sure all the old spring clips managed to go over with a squeeze, unless I had bigger ones I cant remember, Great choice if you ask me though, should last forever, and they look damn nice.

The ones I’ve seen online are all colored blue for the V8 engine. I wish to find ones that are colored black.

Mine are blue too but for the TD5, but thats what I wanted, can't say I've seen many black silicone ones on ebay unless they are direct from China.

For Td5 there are various options including black, for the V8 is hard to find black ones
