I'm in the motor trade and my tools are my living, so mostly Snap On.
I also have a set of Bedford AF ring spanners I bought before I left school 40 years ago :D:D Hell! I even have some Whitworth spanners but they're for my hobby of restoring old engines.

Bedford Vanadiums - I got some of them, along with some Gordon's Whitworth & UNF spanners. Some of my Whitworths open ended spanners are just stamped with the War Department arrow. I was going to ditch them a few years ago, but since owning a Landy they've come into their own.

i use clarke proffesional , from machine mart, find the prices are good and a good range available and bit better than halfords pro and same guarntee and a better bigger selection to expand, but i dont get heavy use from my tools

I used a Kamusa socket set when stripping my 19J down and rebuilding the 200Tdi, it didn't slip once, for 20 quid it served me well up until recently when it did start slipping.

Since then I've bought Halfords Pro gear, sockets, spanners and draper expert ratchet spanners and was given a complete 1/2 Stanley Socket set by someone who didn't know what it was lol, but i don't like the feel of the ratchets, but that's just personal preference.

I did find a spanner in my box the other day from the USSR....

being a mac tools franchisee i guess , just mac , altho as we do facom as well i use there rachets as they are a bit finer

Are Halfrauds pro range rebranded Facom? Remember it being said they were, even if not now. Very good too. I got a Facom 1/4" drive ratchet
had for years, beauty of it is the fine ratchet mechanism and the head isnt much larger than the shaft, so suits where others would be useless.

Bosch Angle grinder gets some good use too!

not sure joe, they used to sell loads of sykes pickavant at halfuds which was good so I wondered if they started re-badging that??

I was a bit worried it was draper expert stuff the other day as thats when it occured to me that works started buying all its gear there and its ****e

Mix of kamasa, Stanley and britool. The britool stuff I inherited over 15 years ago and they are the biz!

Yep! there the one's

Snap on ,old school(british made) britool and king dick, and made in usa mac ,not the chinese mac **** on the van nowadays.

When buying ratchets my experience has been that the ratchet in the fore ground in the photo seem to fall apart fairly fast when used day to day. Normally the disc falls off and you loose the bearing's if you not careful. The selector type don't seem to give many issues but you want to watch that the screws dont come loose.

Another handy tool that use to get a lot of use was the seal removal tool. One end is now broken but makes seal removal a breeze.

dont think it is now if it ever was , rachets are 72 fine tooth , great for day to day ,but big stuff i prefer the mac 1/2 inch , feels much stronger
