They used 2.25 & 2.5 doosuls in the old London cabs at one time. the cab models were the FX4R and the FX4S. Maybe there's a scrappy near you with something like that. I sent one in for scrap a while ago and have kicked myself for not saving the injun as I have now got a series 2A and it would have been a good back up.
 
Old Landy engines are common and as cheep as chips.
Find someone upgrading to a TD or a v8 and he will probably give you the old one just to get rid of it.

Follow Pats advice and get the pro range as a mate of mine busted my 27mm socket (Don't ask but it involved 6ft of scaffolding poll) and they didn't even want to see a receipt and just swaped it.
 
i'm not a great fan of halfords tools, i have elora, kingdick, britool, mac and snap-on in my box (fookin great snap-on box) although bergen stuff is good (and cheap)
 
My toolbox is full of stuff picked up at auto jumbles and car boots because it looked as if it might be useful
 
snap on all the way all mine were from a car boot and i never bought a new one now i have a very very very large full set!!

We have a brilliant one at Rufforth near York, first Saturday of each month but it's a bit far for you to come. A lot of it is in a huge great shed so it's O.K. even when persisting it down.
 
Well if you want to go in for my tool is better than yours then there is only one Britool.
But who can afford £700 for a 24 pice set.
 
i find wander around garages with big pockets and sticky fingetrs a good way to get those expensive tools
 
i caught someone trying to borrow some of my tools his hand was on a metal bench while he rummaged thru my toolbox, i hit the bench next to his hand with a lump hammer he shat himself cause i had hold of his wrist and said the next one was for his fingers
