Ive done it, ive bought a 1957 series 1, ive started taking her apart and been pleasently suprised so far, im learning to weld as well and ill be doing a bit of that i guess. The scariest thing so far is the wiring, 54 years of tampering not good, after a few sparks and pops took the battery off to be safe. Over the next months im going to need a lot of help, its a journey of discovery (got one of them as well!!) but im realy enjoying it to, I hope to have it all done for next summer.

Hi, I just at the end of rebuilding a 57 s1 88, mines one of the sxf models, hardest thig to get were the springs, as for wireing just fit a new loom, not expensive, good luck and enjoy

My first Landy was a 1957 S1 Hardtop, I had it when I was 17. Paid £850 for it and that was after it had had a full rebuild:eek:
