Just been reading our local weekly publication (actually the one Jeremy Clarkson started out on many years ago). In the motoring section was a very interesting report on the Thatchem testing of the new Defender. It is too aggressive and robust in a head on collision with other vehicles. Excuse me but isn't that supposed to be the point of a Land Rover, toughness. When I was younger that was one of the main points of owning a Landy that attracted them to me. My series 3 and Disco both had numerous mishaps and came out far better than the opposition. I'm I bit more careful in the P38 as it is for comfort and not a work horse like the others were.
