Sorry chaps :(
Again been busy with customers work.

I could add loads of photo's but they are not Land Rover related so guessed no one on here would be interested...

I have been waiting to get the bulkhead painted so that I can wire it up and at least be able to drive it in and out instead of pushing the massive thing!!!

I rebuilt my Audi S2 engine over Xmas holidays :) so once fully mapped should be running just over 400bhp :)

The stick clearance issues are now more apparent and along the lines of what I was expecting.....

So I have removed the selector mechanism from the top of the LT85 gearbox and have started drawing up a new custom selector plate with an extension housing that I can make one up with the milling machine from a large block of Aluminium.

Hi there,

Great thread and build. Love the work.

Am interested what setup/mod you plan to do get this to work. May have a similar issue and wouldn't mind seeing what your solution is!

Thanks.

Hi chaps, sorry I am still here, this was always going to be a long drawn out thread as customers have to come first.

I am fully booked up to June at the moment with rebuilds, chassis swaps and general service work so am finding it hard to do anything for myself :(

But the bulkhead is now painted

Tonight I have fed the TDCi loom back in and started to fit all the stuff up behind the dash.

And a mock up of the dash in position again

The dash is in real poor condition so I have done a search for flocking and found a guy literally at the end of my street that does it so am hoping to get that done in the next few days.

Next on my list is to strip, clean and paint the steering column, brake and clutch pedal boxes and mount the bulkhead support brackets and get everything level and positioned correctly to start and Build off.

Great stuff!!!

Just in terms of flocking the dash, great for a trackcar but in my opinion, it wouldn't be ideal in my opinion for a road car used everyday or indeed a Landrover that's going to be across continents and more than likely dusty environments.

Still, it's relatively cheap to do though so could always try it and see how it goes.

Yes it would not be my first choice, but it's cheap, harder wearing than trying to paint it. The cheapest I have found so far to leather a dash is £1000.

So could always go this route in a few years time if the flocking looks tired.

Had a play this afternoon with paint shop on the interior, this is the final choice.

This is reflect the colours in the engine bay.

I would also like to have teak deck floors like in the defender yaught edition

Teak decking is a good choice! would it be right through into the foot wells? or just the rear load area/ boot space?

Just had a read through. Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant work.

I have plans to do something similar one day.

Cannot wait to see more of this. How are you getting on, been nearly 3 months!!!
