Bit of advice needed here me old muckers. Got home from work last night and parked next to the Landy and it was making a funny noise. Closer inspection it was the alarm arm/disarm chirp being repeated rapidly
So I press the blipper, nothing. try a few more times with spare, zilch. Open drivers door and alarm doesn't trip. place key in ignition turn it on and chirping slows to once every 2 or 3 seconds. Retrieved owners manual and did the 7 second trick a few times and the alarm eventually tripped as the door was open. Could then arm and disarm the alarm. Arming the alarm it flashed 3 times to indicate that something was disabled. Hmmm...
So I try and start it, ignition on, car still immobilised. Pop the bonnet to take a look and hey presto it started with the bonnet open. Fiddled around with wiring etc for a bit, didn't do more than wiggle wires, sensors etc but now it starts with the bonnet closed, but still warning me that something is disabled.
So, has someone had a go at nicking it or do I need the alarm servicing? If it's a service, where is the best place to take it round here - Office is in Wakefield, home is Harrogate, so somewhere near to either would be best.
