I would put money on finding something you don't expect. Always the same, or has been for me, luckily I've never had anything major. Although most start out as projects anyway.
The plus point is that parts aren't expensive and can usually be fitted in the budget (if you have one)

Aye, nothing to be disheartened about mate. Bare in mind I had plenty of time on my hands.
My threads are about hopefully helping others and showing people it can be done at home. And my offer of help would be their if you where closer, as it is with others.

Crap picture, but it's not far off now.

Just read your Td5 rebuild in one sitting and has made my mind up to scrap it......nah only kidding, it's made me more determined to get it stripped and rebuilt the way I want. Luckily I don't have lovely neighbors living next door like you do and I have a barn to work in, but to see what you have achieved with the room you have and the problems from others you have done a more than fantastic job. I wish you all the best for the future and I hope you get your workshop as I believe you could do really well for yourself mate.

Having made my mind up now to re-build me fender I've Got some more bits together. Seats, bulkhead removal bar, county sides etc. I'm going to sell the wheels and winch bumper etc before I buy new wheels and parts like that. I would love a Galv chassis but I'm going to check mine out once it's stripped out. Rebuild is going to start around the time the Mot runs out the 22/03 so might do a blog thing on here for all to see.
