If I can do it you can do it.
Mines a 300Tdi and I only changed the fron cam bearing shell. The cam shaft was a nice snug fit in to the new bearing. No reaming to be done. 200's might be different.

I would balance the investment, in terms of time and money, against the condition of the vehicle and the length of time I intended keeping it. For me it was an easy choice because I'd done the galv chassis and bulkhead rebuild.

You raise a good point. I’ve done the galv chassis too. Bulkhead is ok plan on keeping it for as long as I can. The mrs has another car so we can do with out it. Mostly use it for camping on the westcoast

Sounds like it's going to be worth the effort then Mine was so smooth and quiet when I started it up for the first time, it was amazing. The Mrs and I just turned and looked at each other and both mouthed 'it's so quiet'! Pulls great too.
