For the love of Mary can someone please tell me if I can off road my Discovery 1 even tho' its got ABS, Airbags, Air Con and other stuff which might not like being off roaded. Do i need to disconnect stuff and if so what happens when I go to MOT it? Please can someone give help as Im getting so miffed cos all I get is conflicting answers. Thanks ever so, Ian

If you ain't going wading should be no problem, it'd take quite a knock to set off your airbags

Sorry, i'm new here but "Its an offroad vehicle" isnt it?

I'm certainly taking my one off, usually with a trailer and 1-1/2 ton traction engine on it. Plenty of mud on rally fields :)

seeing as your landy was built for the purpose of driving offroad I rekon that YES it might just about be able to cope with it.:p

Unless of course he was attempting something like Langdale Black or such like then it wouldnt cope as standard:)

any disco is fine to take off road until it gets wet or muddy then it rusts so quickly you'll be luck to get home without losing a few kilos of metal !
