He maybe thinking that grease reduces electrical contact. In that case makes me wonder why they use copper wire for connecting electricary up. The Copraslip actually makes the electrical contact better and is heat proof upto 1100 degrees C. Note i say Copraslip the proper stuff. That may or may not apply to the cheap copies. Who's copper content may depend on how much dye is used. :D:D:D

In the case of hamfisted bastards they may have a point. Plugs are hand tight then a nip. That could happen if the plugs were torqued up. So if you use a torque wrench reduce the torque specified for your particular plug slightly if using anti seize grease. Or is that too complicated for some to understand? Personally i have never used a torque wrench for plugs in over fifty years. Not had one break yet. :D:D

back in the 70's with alimiumn heads plugs would stick and bad. so change plugs once a year was common practice. Then in the 80's was every 50k miles then ford,dodge sourced plated plugs which helped

Not if you used Copraslip on them they didn't. Like anything else if you don't service things they go tits up. If you wait 50K miles to take your plugs out clean and gap them you would be a very silly boy in my view, no matter what the manufacturer says.
 
For £20 for a new set of ngk's I change mine at least every 2 years. I check em every year with the regular service. Always put them in dry and never had a problem. As wammers says, hand tight and then a light turn with the socket.
Always a good idea to check em, gives a great indication of the health of the engine.:tea:
