hi guys - just rebuilding my front axle (110 300tdi ) new swivel housing - bearings - cv joint - the full monty.
the question is - with the cv came some cv joint grease which i duly packed the joint with built it all back up - with the swivel kit came some 'one shot' grease - do i have to use this now that i have packed the joint or is it ok to use the ep90 in the housing ?
i have read about cross contamination from diff to swivels - is this a bad thing ?
many thanks

The grease has been about for years. Lots of opinions on which is best on here. I've used both, and not noticed a difference, except that the grease doesn't leak as much if your swivel seals are worn. If you off road a lot, I believe there is a train of thought that water could get trapped in the swivels more easily with grease.

A train of thought says that for short journeys and slow work the grease "one shot" isn't too smart as the top bearing doesn't get lubricated.
I've just down mine at 152k and I couldn't see any issues and grease went back in.
It certainly leaks less than EP90.
