assuming its the disco on you`re avatar, personaly dont think camo would suit. UNLESS you lift it and put some heavy duty wheels and tyres on it aand prob. a few spot lights otherwise it wont flow (look good to the eye). end of the day its yours ,if you like the look sod anyone else they aint driving it :)

yes doesnt look anything like that anymore , just put arches on it lifted it put some 33s on it with deep dish wheels ect ect winch it looks great now i think , i like it any how

If you must cammoflague it do it in North African desert colours thats sandy yellow with black cammo. It's deffo different to the usual green.

Or wrap that looks like key scratches then the next lot you get will blend in....:D sorry.....:D

Mine wiil be getting done at some point. Green base and Sand/cream near vertical irregular striping. to make it disappear on Salisbury plains??

yes i do like the camo look , a few friends of mine all have discoverys and we have all done them in camo just because it hides alot they get throwen at them off road also they look good , i use mine for work as well as i own my own buisness so its quite good for the advertiseing in the back window as it turns a fue heads :)

Here are a few pics of that old kit car I did a camo paint job on some 12 years ago. I bought the Dutton Sierra kit car for £120 and it had been standing for 10 years and was based on a Mk1 Escort.

I twigged it had a possible historic reg number so snapped it up quick, my wife went mad at me for wasting £120 as it looked like a 4 wheel Reliant Robin. So the roof was chopped off and a few other mods made.

I then registered it as a historic vehicle so it was tax exempt and my son who was 6 at the time wanted it in army colours as he put it, so I made the paint job up as I went along with paint scrounged from work, and my son was over the moon.

I kept it on the road very cheap as the insurance was a mear £80 and road tax was free, so it was just a fun vehicle to take the kids out in.

A couple of years later the front suspension busted, so I stuck it on Fleabay and it sold to a guy for £500 and he was not really interested in the condition of it which seemed funny at the time.

A month later I get a call from the Dutton Owners Club as the car is back on Fleabay saying its never been registered!!! and it was pretty much unique in appearance.

The guy had used the logbook to put another kitcar on the road to avoid the SVA test that new built kit cars have to pass and to gain free road tax.

Well it all backfired on him from what I heard and the V5 was given back to the vehicle and it sold for only a few pounds with no V5 etc so the new owner had a great buy.

All this just shows a cammo paint job is great fun and can look good and I must say I like the look of the Disco on this thread, far better paint job than mine on the Dutton.

And my Discos green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

looks mint that horse , thats what the jeep looks like now it was red i had a pic up on my avatar and another member said they couldnt imagine it in camo before i posted the camo pic up of my landy bit of confuseion there lol ,

Hi mate, do you have any pictures from the frount as I was going to fit the Bearmach discreet winch plate to my Disco as I don't like the look of the winch bumpers, but I see you have modified the original bumper, or at least thats what I looks like, can you give me some more info on it please.

yes i modified it , took some welding ect but i agree winch bumpers are awful unless your willing to spend good money , i reinforced mine ect i will try and get a pic up of the front when i get a chance , if you need help with your front bumper give me a shout ill help you out if i can does take a bit of doing to get the original bumper strong enough and also slot your winch tray into the middle

Thanks Mark that would be great a pic would help a lot. Did you use a standard winch plate?

Thanks for the feedback serious and **** takers lol
Im still in 2 minds what to do to be honest if i could somehow cover the key marks i think that would be my best option but there in a fairly bad, i will get some pics up this weekend.
If i go for the camo look im still going to have to fork out for the chunky wheels which i think look great on Camolands motor.
Desicions desicions.

Take it down a green lane that hasnet been trimmed for a while and scratch it up to ****. Youll never see the keyed marks again. 4x4s are about function not preatyness!

tmm go for the camop ... you know you want to ?

wheels are 10 inch deep dish mods and 33 /12.5 / 15 tyres , will get pic of front up for you puppysandwhich yes i did use a standard winch tray but i weldid a box secton on the back and plates under the chassis and under the winch , the winch took alot of stress the other night when we all went out and it all worked really well plus of course alot cheeper to do than buying a winch bumper which personaly i really am not into the look of them they all look the same and have no diffrence between them

thanks for all the feed back
