Hi all,

Anyone had there Freelander windows tinted?

If so were you happy with results and cost of the job?

Simon.

Done mine myself once I'd got the hang of it wasn't too bad as they were pre cut cost of around £35 off ebay

Re-tinted one of my rears when i bought mine as the corner was peeling badly. Only use the 14.99 stuff from a motorfactors and it took some patience. But was pretty happy with the result. I was quoted 290 to strip and re do all the rears professionally.

Get some pro quality tint film and do it yourself, **** easy.
I used to take the door glass out to do LR's, not hard.
Cut the film about 1mm from the edge of the glass, and when fully dry, run some clear nail varnish over the edge to stop it lifting

Longdog you top man, your only in the West Riding, why don't you pop over to mine and show me the way to do it? You'd be repaid with a good dinner and a beer:):)

Jees, a guy mentions nail varnish and you offer to buy him dinner??

Don't we get enough stick from the tratterers already??

:D

Thats clever that is, using the nail varnish

Mine is the Serengetti version that the rear windows are all factory tinted anyway, I think it looks much better than non-tinted.

Ive used that stick on tint stuff from Halfrauds before on another car, its as good as you manage to do it :p The corners did start to peel on it after a few months. Ill bear the nail varnish in mind if I ever have to do it again!
