Ok.

Nice sunny day, off work all week so doing those little jobs on my Landrover.

Set to with the waxoyl today, before the wet of winter sets in. Having a good poke around underneath with a screw driver and wire brush ii was pleased to have a sound chassis.... Except for two spots on the rear crossmember.

Usual place, anyway dug at them and decided to repair them. Found a bit of steel sheet about 2.5mm. Not measured it.

Here is the process. Haven't really used a welder before. Tacked a few bits together so quite pleased with the results

Needs more paint but only had the drabs left in a rattle can!

Other side is basically the same, can't be bothered to upload it from my phone :)

Thanks. Very pleased for my first go at repairing something with a welder.... Don't want anymore practise on my motor though
