get some cardboard and draw the shape of the case at least a foot square , then poke the bolts u take off in there relative point on the cardboard . the bolts are different lenghts , so you know what goes where on the rebuild .
watch you dont snap off any bolts - if there tight and feel like there siezed , get some heat on them .
Take your time and learn as u go .
I think you may need a puller for the crankshaft pulley. I'm not sure if you do on your engine but you do for a tdi engine. They can be a real pain to get off but some nearly fall off.
As sypher ays heat is the best way to undo tight bolts but a few good hits with a hammer often loosens them if you have no heat.
Was going to do it last night but ended up going to cornwall to pick up some bull bars for £20, nice condition too but didn't get back till late so it's either today or the weekend.
