Hi all, I have owned my first range rover 3.0D V6 (2005) for 6 months now and it has just occured to me that I know no history of timing belt change. My question is do these things have a belt or chain? if its a belt then i'll get it changed, if its a chain do they need changing??

RR Sport V6 - two belts, one for cams, one for high pressure fuel pump. 105k service interval.
RR L322 Full Fat TD6 - chain,no service interval.

Hi all,

I changed the timing belt on my range rover vogue recently, however it's got multiple miss fire and the code reader also read 'miss fire on cylinder 6'.
I'm assuming I've knocked the timing out by a tooth or so... Desperately need to get it done by a specialist BUT... I can't find a single place who does it!?!? Strange!?!

Please does anyone know of any place who can time the timing belt, in the West Midlands or even surrounding boroughs??.?

Thank you

Do you really need to post the same thing on multiple threads?

That thought occurred to me, mine you he can pick the answer he likes best:)

Maybe some one would say don't do things when you haven't got a clue what you are doing. Then he could ignore that and use the other thread. :D:D:D

When I was considering a head gasket issue on my L322, I went out and at considerable expense I bought the Cam Locking Set for the M62 cos I like to do things properly and have read and re-read the process and without it you'd be ****ing in the wind (do-able but tricky)!

I am now guarding this set with my life as it wasn't cheap!!!
