I think I am going to start classes in Landy timing belt changes.

Could arrange a conference too ... guest speaker from overseas ... Slob from Froggy France.

250 delegates at £100 each for the day, and I will pay Slob's expenses.

Now don't get excited or even upset ..... but there's quite a difference between Lanarkshire and Lancashire - about 200 miles actually.

I'm in the Scottish Lanarkshire - ML2 area.

ohhhh! And there's me thinking that I might have been able to get a helping hand for a couple of sarnies and a flask of tea!

What actualy needs to be done to get to the timing belt though? Do i have to remove the fan and the radiator?

charlesY at £100 for that timing belt conferance I ,m still cheaper getting my mechanic mate to do it for £80.:D but see what you mean about doing it my self. just getting the bravery pills to start doing things my self.

PERT SHIRE huh?

Not so far away really.
The timing belt is easy enough but it would be best if you saw someone doing it before your DIY first time.

These jobs are so much easier once the mystery has been taken away.

yeah the golf course was along time ago and bloody cold just didnt expect that snow filled bunker!
The things you do when your young and stoopid, didnt hurt the course as it was under bout 2 foot of snow at the time.
Also got me propshaft back on tonight so its full landy speed ahead!

Yeah I am lucky in that ALL I need to remove is the fan belt, the tin cover over the timing chest and the crank pully to get the cover off, its the sherpa version.

Only have a go at it if you have ALL the right tools.
