Hi just wondering if anyone know wher i will get timing belt done in sunderland.

Good honest job wanted reasnobly priced

Difficult one to answer. Les Potts will do you a good honest job but I doubt you'd find the labour rate reasonable. I've heard positives on here about spanner monkeys in Washington. I have used Barry cubby in the past, behind belle vue crescent. Can't fault him, reasonable knowledgeable but not a land rover specialist but I'd still use him personally if I couldn't be arsed to do it myself

My land rovers rarely had timing belts.
Or 4 cylinders:cool:

The old boys that tried to teach me diesel fitting in the 70s would be turning in their graves if they knew most diesels now have cambelts! :( As far as they were concerned, something that should never be seen! o_O

Timing gears, a la Perkins etc! :) How can you go wrong, constant mesh, oil lubricated. Never wear or break for the rest of your life if you change the oil!

Only an accountant wouldnt see the sense in it! ;)

Try posting your symptoms in the engines (TDI?) section. I had a 300tdi 110 and

Never bothered me till my transit starter spun over twice as fast out of nowhere. Bent pushrods and never ran as well again.
I also want it tweaking slightly as it seems good on the flat but bit dead acelarating on incline in 4th gea
As for the 4th gear thing, try posting in the tratter section, those cats will have some pointers. Your apprenticeship starts here :p
