Im looking to fit spots to my 2001 td4 looking @ the under bonnet fuse box the relay 5 that is used on petrol models is obviously a free space on mine it has a good power feed & seems to be a real neat and tidy place to wire in
Can anyone see a flaw in this plan?

Look at the wiring diagram for a petrol model and see what the fuse would have been. That will give you an idea of what current the cabling is rated at. You can then work out if it is good enough for your spots.

Cheers I belive its only a 10amp in fuse box but there is a 15 amp showing in circute so will soft wire it an see what happens

can you not use the supply just as a switching curcuit, with a relay wired to the battery with a fuse in its lead to provide umpteem amps to the spots..
