As per the title really.

I have a ticking noise from behind the dash in the area of my right knee. Maybe it's behind the binnacle, it's hard to place.

It's quite fast, like the winding of a watch

It happens when I go over bumps, (it's not the ABS cutting in, but is a similar sound) and seems to become less noticeable once the car has warmed up.

Any ideas what it could be?

Not air in the brake modulator or the pump itself sort of noise?

Too light a sound for that.

It sounds more like a relay, or electrical solenoid rattling on and off or something like that.

But it only does it over bumps.

I wondered if theres anything suspension related under there....

I've got exactly the same thing with my D2. It happens over bumps and anytime the traction control goes on.

I'm also interested to know what it is.

I found this in the technical bulletins on RAVE...

It's the only thing I can find regarding clicking noises coming from that area. It might apply to a D2 too. I'm not sure what your interior is like.

There doesn't seem to be anything linked to suspension in that area so I don't think it's linked electronically to the bumps.
