Has anybody got a throttle potentiometre off of auto
Disco I 1998 ?
As I am sure some of you guys would of junked this system to go playing in mud !
Will be changing mine to old pump if cannot get one of these at a sensible price !
Thanks in advance
Part no . Bosch 0205001021

IME, the problem with EDC is parts unavailability. When mine started mucking about, I binned it. I think its like all electronic stuff on cars - just a way of the manufacturers determining the end of the vehicles life

I went through this in 2010. Ended up buying one from Australia for £600+. Eventually put a TGV in which doesn't need the throttle pot. I did read an article the other day and somebody saved a fortune buy using the Bosch part number and not the LR number. Good luck.

The parts are "available" *, but as mentioned above, they can be quite expensive. Err3337 - number four injector - the one with the needle lift sensor in, is no longer made by Bosch - LR list price is £500, but they haven't got any either. I could have had one made - about £1100+VAT (!!).

You can guess the next bit..........

EDC went in the bin.:D

* = when the price of the part is more than the value of the vehicle, it doesn't really count, IMHO.

Hi
Thanks for help still hunting !
Got another pump but too lazy at mo to change !
Although that tps is no fun to change !

I bet you could change the FIP almost as quickly as doing the TPS. When I de EDC'd mine, I left it in - It'll probably be there forever!!

Right well all fixed got second hand one for £65:00 off of breakers
But took top off old one And could see worn circuit contact
There are 8 minute contacts that scrape the circuit board I bent carefully these little tags so they run on a good bit of circuit board and tried it by plugging it in engine bay and it cured the bad running so then I did not mind committing and buying another one as it would only last a bit before it would fail again !
When you buy another one try it in engine bay before fitting it as you really really don't want to be fitting it twice !!
Hope this helps someone !!

Forgot to say it transformed the motor it's done over 200k and it Always hung on to 2nd gear to long
Oil and filter in auto box always helped it but now changes up like a dream I reckon it had been on way out for about 50k !!
