Hi everyone,
I recently replaced the air filter on my 2010 LR4 and cleaned (and swapped over) the MAF sensors.
I also replaced my MAP sensor.
So I decided to take off the throttle body and give it a good clean.
I did notice that with the engine switched off (obviously), the throttle valve/flap is wide open.
Is this right?
I thought they were almost shut until you put your foot on the accelerator.

ps: No starting problems, and the car runs and drives just fine.

Just curious 🤨

Indeed that’s normal for the flap to be open with the engine off

Have seen reports that the flap itself can stick so need regular cleaning

Hope that helps

Ah,
Thank you so much. That’s a relief!
I did check the operation and it’s moving freely without sticking 👍
