Hi All,

I have a 2000 p38 RR 4.6 V8, I am looking at the heater plate under the throttle body, I am just wondering why coolant needs to run underneath it through the heater plate.

If it serves no great purpose then looking at it a 3 piece connection plastic pipe will enable me to bypass it.

Thanks

John

I don't think it serves any great purpose, not in this country anyway.

They are prone to leaking, bad design with 3 bolts to secure a square plate. Many do bypass as it seldom gets cold enough here to need it.

Thanks for the help everyone, think I'm going to go the bypass route as I say a simple Y connector will solve the problem.

Thanks again

John
