Bit of advice.........am upto speed on Series landys with my resto in full swing (109 Series 2a SW) but fancy a Defender too and not too gen'd up on those.

Thoughts on this one. Going to see it on the weekend and fancy a bit of V8 in my life (it's a 2nd car and will do 3k a year).

My thoughts are its around £4k too much even considering the engine and box?

Does seem a lot for a '91

For me it would have to be an incredible example to justify £7.5k, but know of guys on here that have guaranteed valuations of £9kish

Yeah its to much hes testing the market. It has got some nice add ons and good engine but its not LPG. mine is and I couldnt go back to petrol. id bid him seems a nice enough truck from the computer. go down and see it if you like it buy it. personally I don't like the rag top and a few other things but hey each to there own.

I dont no tbh its all about what someone is willing to pay! I went overboard when I bought mine because i loved it and it was all straight and right!

If you serous on buying a V8 then mine is for sale

seems like alot of money for half a job

for 10k i reckon you could have put the same engine and gear box into a galvo chassis and bulkhead NEW including the cost of a donor 90(ive been looking into it my self actually rather than selling up for a different landy as i know mines legit) ...... of course that doesnt count the time needed to do it.

based on that id offer 5.5/6k - as it stands i think he has just added up the reciepts for what he has spent and called that his price !

As ever it's worth what you're willing to pay

Spend a bit of time on auto trader and other sites - just get a feel for age/engine/model and relative prices.

Of course no substitute to getting under it with a hammer and driving!

Got a 200TDi instead. Noisy, slow and not as nice as a V8 but I love it!!
