Were very kind and supplied my radio code free of charge after giving them my VIN number. However, after I have imputed the code, the radio keeps saying wait 30 minutes!!

Could any one kindly shed some light on this for me please.

Thank you.

Based on you info, so assuming you don't have a function unit, then its normally an indication that an incorrect code has been entered, in this case a few times if there is a 30 minute delay before you can re-enter a correct code,

It maybe the code for the radio fitted to the car in the factory. But may not be the applicable code now even if it's the same radio. What make is it? Clarion radios that have been sent to Clarion for repair come back with no code. You can either input the original one or input a new one. Maybe a radio shop can draw the code for you.

After a bit more research, it does look like I have been given the wrong code. Ah well. I'll try another LR dealer to see if they will supply code for free.

Hey wammers. It's the original radio, the Vestion cd/radio for the face-lift disco 2, or something like that.

Don't know about those, but as i said a radio shop should be able to get the correct code out of it for you. For a fee of course.

Ok, chapter 2 of radiogate. It looks like I gave them the wrong VIN! The VIN I gave them was for the 4.0 V8! :p I wish. Anyway, I had another look at the VIN, sent it to them and they supplied , free again, a new code, which worked first time!! Happy days.

Well mine was fitted in the factory with a US head unit, and everytime I get out bid trying to get the correct one

When I recently wanted the EKA code for mine, the local LR dealer wanted to see my V5 and photocopy my driving licence before handing it over. They did it for free though. The EKA they gave me is a combination of letters and numbers. I assumed it would just be numbers?
