tis it the same as gems? bet it aint!(using gems ecu for time being, so need compatable iacv, throttle body and tps dont matter, anything will do here)

need to make seperate throttle body and iacv for s/c install...so cant really use the gems one as built into plenum chamber..

i thinks thor is seperate...so.info on iacv needed .????

thanks

'Tis different, Bosch swinging armature type with opposing windings driven by the ECU to position the valve armature accurately.

thanks for rep;ly..had a feeling was a non starter..

oh well hack saw and ali welding it is then..ie chop plenum off throttle body weld on ali pipe..(type of thing)

The Bosch unit is much more effective as the airflow through the non-linear orifice can be very accurately controlled. The armature rotates a variable-rate cut-off piston in a cylindrical housing, air in one side and out the other.

There is no seating as such, the rotating part has a close tolerance fit inside the housing but the piston is free to rotate. That is fine until a bit of oil and cr*p gets in, then it needs cleaning, but simple to wash out in Paraffin.

The earlier units appear to be a simpler version, but they seem to have a rubber or Viton tip?

it would be perfect..except the wiring internally appears to be different...which is a shame..so about to get disc cutter to gems unit and cut off plenum...
hopefully then allowing a plate to be welded to it...pics will follow
