Your rear wiper has probably seized up - quite common - needs lubing.

Boot door lock - prise out the LR oval and clart the door opening mechanism with grease.

Mine did exactly the same last week, Did the clarting thing behind the green oval and bobs ur uncle...now i just need to sort the sunroof leak thats just started.

I really cant belive the instant i fix a fault another one appears...what is it with Disco TD5's??

its like owning a classic car int it? unbelievable amount of fettling.
I had a 96 525 bmw before this and it need nothing doin to it in 5 years apart from oil, filters n brakes, nothin conked out, seized up or fell off, ever.
I wasn't really prepared for this weekly round of puttin me car back together, although I was warned by enough people.

sorted the rear wiper, can't believe how much crapola was inside the thing, blasted it out n greased it up and its workin like a swiss watch now.

no luck with the boot central locking tho, the bit behind the LR badge is pretty free n easy but lubed it and the knob still won't pop up oooooeerrr.
It locks with the remote but won't undo with the remote, but it opens ok with inside handle, is the central locking motor in the back door screwed?????

Not had mine long enough to greese anything lol

I dont think the TD5s have a spring on that handle, at least not one that can be replaced. A few peeps on here said that you had to replace the complete lock....I had a look on ebay(what did we do before ebay?)and found some between £50 and £100:eek: hopefully my fettling will last:D

SNAP - Ive had the same issue, central locking pops and every other door opens, but for some reason the tailgate doesnt... It is not as straight forward and just grease it and everything should work...

Did all of the above, even checked all the springs on the lock to see if anything had broken, Emailed some guy from fleebay to see if he did replacement springs but we still couldnt get the dam thing to open, so off to LR to get a new tailgate lock

Fitted last night and everything works perfect, just cant put door card on just yet  forgot to get some trim clips

Common fault even with TD5's tells me the parts ppl... suprised if u get the orginal part working now, best get a new one.... PS dont forget to order some trim clips

yeehar and yahoo!
took the lock out of the door, gave it a good drenching with WD, blasted it out with an airline, greased it all up n it now works a treat.
I expect it will continue to work perfectly until i get round to puttin the door card back on.
LOL Swampey i emailed the same chap on ebay n got the same reply, i did remember the plastic trim lug things tho
