Where was this? Might have been trying to get around a recalcitrant sheep. Once off the edge it can slip sideways all too easy. Shouldn't be out alone if any risk-taking planned.

Lovely day and spot to wait for help!
Big butch bull bars on front, sheep shouldn't be an issue  In all seriousness, I have never had to slip into a ditch because sheep won't move. Sheep are nasty, kicky, moody, gits but they are not stupid. Slowly moving forward in 3tonne of beastie has always moved them, for me. Hell even the ATV moves them.

Hare coursing?

Too posh, they normally have very dirty untaxed smaller 4 x4 . subaru impresa estate is quiet common, something quick and cheap. if plod catch them it gets confiscated.

or occasionally they get stuck in a field, but that is rare. they seem to get away with going places in cars where we would think twice about it in a off roader.
