Hey guys... having bad luck here..

Just done the timing belt. All went well until the thermostat bleed plug had to come off....

First of all, there is no coolant in the engine..
Second.. the plug broke on top, so I tried to hammer a T55 in the middle.. still no win.
Decided it had to be broken up. Didn't realise the inside of that casting lead to an immediate drop into the coolant channels..

Now I have a reasonable sized plastic lump in there..

How can I get this out without it being a full head off????

How about taking the thermostat housing and water pump off and trying to back flush the block with a hose connected to the heater port on the head. If you can get a high enough flow rate you may be able to blast it out?

I have got to the point of getting the pump off... I don't have any hose to do that haha..

My current aim is to get the aux bracket off to get the thermostat housing off to have a look..

Got it!

Any one with plastic plugs.. consider changing them! Don't let this happen to you..
