...... it's behaving itself completely!

Yesterday I got a call early on and my daughter needed collecting from Manchester and taking to an interview then taking from the interview to her friends house in Preston to collect her car. Well I set off and it was behaving perfectly on the motorway without so much as a hitch and clearly the blast down the motorway did it some good as it felt much smoother when I got home.

Then today I went round to my mates house as he has a cam belt fitting kit and took with me the complete cam belt conversion kit, serpentine belt, thermostat and cam oil seal. The job went perfectly without so much as a difficult bolt and I even found a tiny hole in the intercooler which I did a permanent repair on.

The squeal has gone and the car was a pleasure to drive home.............

Now to decide on what to spend my birthday and Christmas money on....... +2" suspension kit and new tyres / winch / rebuilding the axles and brakes plus new driver's seat base.

Oh and the heater works too...... After everything I did to try and get it working I hadn't had any heat out of it. The problem was that I hadn't got it hot enough. I've left the viscous fan off it for now and will be fitting a manually controlled fan off a Saab which I've been given. Only I drive it so I'm just going to fit it manually via a relay.

ive noticed with landrovers whenever you "think" you have sorted all the little jobs, another fault pops up.
i find if you have a small fault you can live with, leave it alone and it staves off a bigger fault from developing.
ive recently overhauled my brakes and sorted all the little jobs ive been putting off and declared me truck sorted, then i find my bloody reverse light isnt working.

I'm with you on that.

I thought I'd got rid of all my leaks and everything was hunky dory.

Now the rear diff pinion seal is leaking, the transfer box sump gasket needs replacing and so does my radiator! All jobs to do Wednesday!

Just got my 90 sort of working ok, then started using water, and then snapped the belt tensioner stud off......really want to be able to get my other car in the garage for some serious attention, but just can't trust either of them to stay functional.
